A memory bear is a Teddy created from personal clothing items of a deceased loved one or clothing outgrown by babies or children. Or even a school uniform or favourite item of clothing.

Most clothing can be used including, towelling, tshirt fabric, Jeans, sweatshirt fabric. shirts infact most fabrics can be used as It can be lined if needed.
However I do not recommend velvet, loose knitted woollen clothes, sheer material or satin. If in doubt please message me.

Memory bears can be hugged by a child but it’s intended purpose is purely Memory, decorative (Display). These bears should not be given to a child under 14 years of age without supervision.

An adults pair of jeans, trousers or cords is usually enough to make one bear as is an adults medium or larger sized T-shirt with short sleeves, a childs sweatshirt (Approx 26 inch chest) a man’s shirt, or ladies blouse. all these items will make one 15 inch bear (in seated position). You can send more than one item as the bears are made using several pieces so your material can be added in different places for example one fabric on the inside of an arm and a different fabric on the outside.
If you send baby items you may need to send up to six sleepsuits.. Any items that are not used will be sent back to you or at your request will be donated to one of my local charity shops.

You message me and I will send you my home address where your items are to be posted.
In with your parcel, you should include your name and your postal address.
This way when I am expecting clothing from a few people I will know whose parcel I am opening.
I will keep your items in the same condition they were sent in. I take great care and respect that your clothing is special to you.

Not at the moment

My aim is to have your bear made and ready to post within 2-3weeks after the date I’ve received your items.

At busy times the bears will of course take longer. (Alongside lippitylop I also have a part-time job & I’m doing a Masters degree).

I will always keep you up-to-date with the progress of your bear.

Usually when you order I will give you an estimated time until completion.

Once your bear is ready I will send you a picture and you will then make payment before I post it to you. Payment can be made by PayPal or bank transfer.

Not right now

You should always message me to find out if I am able to complete by the date you require your bear by, before sending me your items. I will where physically possible try to meet your timescales.
